A two-day Peer-to-Peer Tobacco Cessation Training Program is scheduled for Wed., July 28 and Thur., July 29, from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the PRO-ACT Recovery Training Center. the program is free, but space is limited and registration is required. This is designed to teach individuals how to present peer-based smoking cessation classes to support wellness among people with mental health and substance use disorders.

A Family Day Festival MARCH FOR PEACE will be hosted by the Southwest Action Coalition of SW Philly, on Saturday, July 31, from 10am to 2pm. The Evans-Mumbower Mill is open Sunday, Aug. 15. Learn about the life and times of America's early millers as costumed guides deomonstrate the operation of the gristmill. A DVD program introduces guests to the role that the seventy-plus Wissahickon Mills played in the 19th century. Bring gloves and hat and learn how to dig, sift, clean and catalogue real artifacts.
